An international community is taking shape here for people who see literature as part of our shared culture and want to preserve, shape and pass something on.

The Iconic Circle is an independent literary magazine. “Iconic” does not stand for fame, but for integrity, respect, openness, responsibility and style – and for a conscious approach to people, culture, nature and our shared resources.

OUR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Reading Promotion & Access to Education

Children should have access to books and education regardless of their background or circumstances and be given the opportunity to discover the world of reading. We also want to support adults who cannot read or have limited literacy skills and help open pathways to the written word. This also includes our commitment to combating illiteracy.

Cultural Participation

Culture should connect people and be accessible to as many people as possible. The Iconic Circle creates encounters between people, books and cultural places and encourages exchange across social, geographical and generational boundaries.

Preserving Book Culture & Craftsmanship

Our book culture also encompasses the knowledge and traditional crafts through which books are created and preserved. One example is the art of bookbinding. We want to make this traditional knowledge visible, preserve it and pass it on to future generations.

MEMBERSHIP IN THE CIRCLE

As a member, you become part of a growing literary network and can help shape a vibrant cultural community.

In the future, this will include curated information about literature, new publications and selected literary events, the TIC Letter, invitations to TIC encounters and opportunities to take part in selected projects and initiatives.
