Founder of The Iconic Circle

Carmen Sanne-Salomon is a journalist, author, theatre educator and founder of The Iconic Circle.

For many years, her work has spanned literature, theatre, film and language. She wrote for film and television and authored plays. As the founder of a state-recognised acting school, she spent many years sharing knowledge about language, expression, communication and personal development.

Access to education and books is particularly important to her – especially for children and for people excluded from reading and cultural participation. She also wants to help preserve and pass on books, knowledge and cultural heritage.

The Iconic Circle grew out of a desire to connect people around the world who share these values. Here, “Iconic” does not mean famous: it stands for people with integrity, style and respect – for a thoughtful approach to others, to culture and to our world’s resources.

The Circle is intended to become a place for encounters, exchange and shared commitment – to literature, cultural participation and values that endure beyond trends.
